How to Spend Less Without Cutting Corners
Book off-peak. January through April and November rates are often significantly lower. Valley View Hills Winery does winter weddings year-round. Several venues offer shoulder-season discounts.
Choose an open-vendor venue. Venues like Crockett's Run let you bring your own caterer, DJ, and florist. That means you can price-shop instead of accepting a venue's preferred (and often more expensive) vendor list.
Use the venue's décor. The Haven at Cedar Grove has 750+ borrowable items. Ask every venue what's included — many have tables, chairs, linens, and decorative items that save you hundreds in rental fees.
Skip the separate rehearsal dinner venue. With a weekend buyout, you already have the space Friday night. Cook at the cabin, order barbecue from Millstone, or bring in a food truck.
