Hocking Hills Bachelorette Weekend: The Complete Itinerary
The Hocking Hills bachelorette weekend has become Ohio's answer to Nashville and Scottsdale — except instead of Broadway bars and bottle service, you get a private cabin with a hot tub, winery tours that pick you up at the door, 50 mph ziplines, and bonfires under genuinely dark skies. All of it an hour from Columbus, no flights required.
Here's what a weekend actually looks like, from Friday check-in to Sunday checkout, with real activity options and where to book them.
Friday — Arrive & Set the Tone
4–6 PM: Cabin check-in. Stop in Logan on the way to stock up — the IGA and Dollar General have the basics. Most cabins have full kitchens, grills, and outdoor seating. Build a charcuterie spread while people arrive.
7 PM: Hot tub & bonfire. This is the main event Friday night. Most cabins include a hot tub and fire pit. Firewood is usually available on-site or deliverable. Set up a playlist, open the wine, and let the weekend start slowly.
Upgrade option: Book a private chef to come to the cabin. Four Seasons Catering LLC does in-cabin service. Or order from Millstone BBQ in Logan and pick up on the way in.
Saturday — The Big Day
9 AM: Group hike. Old Man's Cave to Cedar Falls loop is the classic — moderate difficulty, stunning, and totally doable even if half the group stayed up too late. For a gentler option, Ash Cave has a paved path that's beautiful and short.
12 PM: Lunch in Logan. Chef Moe's on Main for something nicer, Brewery 33 for beer and burgers, or Millstone BBQ if smoked meats are the vibe. Keep it casual — the afternoon is the headliner.
2 PM: Choose your adventure.
Option A — Winery tour: Cork & Tap Excursions runs 4- and 6-hour door-to-door charters. They pick you up at the cabin, make reservations at the wineries (Valley View Hills, Hocking Hills Winery, Revolution Rockbridge), store your purchases, provide water, and even take group photos. Gift certificates run $100–$525. This is the most popular bachelorette activity in the region.
Option B — Ziplines: Hocking Hills Canopy Tours has 30+ lines including a dual SuperZip (1,400+ feet at up to 50 mph). Valley Zipline Tours in Lancaster runs 9 lines on 53 acres. Great for groups who want adrenaline.
Option C — Spa day: The Spa at Cedar Falls offers group services. For something more unconventional, Raven's Retreat does group breathwork, sound bathing, and sauna sessions on a private art-filled preserve.
Option D — Horseback riding: The Spotted Horse Ranch offers guided rides on 500 acres. Their Cowboy Cookout Ride ($155/person) is a trail ride plus outdoor meal — genuinely different from anything else.
7 PM: Group dinner. Either hire a caterer to the cabin, book the event space above Brewery 33 (seats 100), or reserve a table at The Olde Dutch Restaurant. Then back to the cabin for the real party — games, dancing, bonfire, whatever the group wants.
Sunday — Wind Down
9 AM: Cabin breakfast. Someone always volunteers to cook. Or hit the café at Hocking Hills State Park Lodge.
10 AM: Last hot tub session. Group photos by the fire pit, cabin cleanup.
11 AM–12 PM: Checkout. Optional stop: glass blowing at Jack Pine Studio in Rockbridge (live demos, weekend workshops) or the Hocking Hills Winery tasting room before heading home.

Cabin selection makes or breaks the weekend. Here's what to look for: hot tub (non-negotiable), fire pit, game room, enough beds that nobody's on the floor, and a location close enough to activities that you're not driving 30 minutes each way.
